Engagement photographer in Sydney
An engagement session is mostly an excuse—to be photographed before the wedding makes it compulsory, and to find out how the three of us work together. As an engagement photographer in Sydney I keep it simple: sixty to ninety minutes, somewhere with decent light, no performance required.
What an engagement photographer in Sydney should give you
Photographs of the two of you that look like the two of you. We walk, we talk, I photograph what happens in between. If you are after fifty posed variations for the announcement grid, I am probably not your person.
If we work well together, I’d love to be your photographer when the wedding comes.
A few things people ask
How long is an engagement session?
Usually 60 to 90 minutes. Long enough to settle into it, short enough that it does not start to feel like a job. If we are somewhere good and the light is holding, I will stay a little longer.
When should we book?
As soon as you know roughly when you would like to go. Popular months in Sydney — autumn, late winter — book a few weeks out. Summer fills quickly too.
Do you have a list of locations?
I have opinions, not a list. If you have somewhere in mind, bring it. If not, tell me what you are after — city, water, trees, somewhere quiet — and I will suggest a few options worth considering.
What if we want to do this before the wedding?
That is the most common reason people book. Some of my wedding packages include engagement sessions. Write to me and we can figure out what makes sense for you.
