Couples photographer in Sydney
Most couples I photograph did not want a photoshoot; they wanted to have been photographed, which is a different thing. As a couples photographer in Sydney, my job is to make the hour ordinary enough that you forget it is happening—a walk, a coffee, a bench you like—while I pay attention.
What booking a couples photographer in Sydney looks like
An hour or two, somewhere that means something to you, or somewhere I suggest because the light behaves. No shot list, and no poses you would not fall into on your own. If you want matching outfits in a wheat field at golden hour, I am probably not your person.
If we work well together, I’d love to be your photographer when the wedding comes.
A few things people ask
What does a couples session actually look like?
An hour or two, somewhere with decent light and room to move. We walk, we talk, I photograph. No shot list, no directions you would not give yourself. The best frames usually come from the in-between moments.
Do we need to be comfortable in front of a camera?
No — the work is built around people who are not. The whole point is to make the camera boring enough that you stop performing for it. Most of the photographs that matter come after that.
Where do couples sessions usually happen?
Anywhere in Sydney with decent light. Some people have a place that means something to them; others want a suggestion. Either works. I know the city well enough to have opinions.
How much does a couples session cost?
From $650. Full pricing is on the investment page — no surprises, no add-ons.
